Please measure gun safe door’s “inside ledge” – fits gun safe door ledge length 23.75″ to 26.9″.

Maximize your gun cabinet space with this full door organizer. Completely adjustable to hold up to 16 pistols, or any combination of up to 9 rifles and up to 18 pistols.

Easily mounts to inside ledge of gun locker door with included screws. Fits doors 23.75″ – 26.9″ wide.

Extra hooks available. (Items # 6152 small and #6148 large)

Installation Instructions

1) Position & tape rack onto the top door ledge of safe – as close to the hinges as possible. Use heavy duty tape you trust with your guns.
2) Place pistol hook on the top wire farthest from the hinge.
3) Put an unloaded gun in this hook & be careful it doesn’t fall.
4) While checking to make sure the gun does not hit the safe, slowly close the safe door. Move the position of the gun and the hook until it clears.
5) Place the next pistol hook on the top wire closest to hinge and repeat #4 with the same gun.
NOTE: If gun hits top shelf inside the safe, lower shelf until it clears, or put gun in trigger facing up. Items may need to be moved back on the shelves to allow room for the pistols.
6) When satisfied with the position of the rack, drill through the tape into the top ledge of the safe with an 1/8″ drill bit, making a pilot hole for the mounting screws.
7) Screw the mounting screws through the tape and rack into the safe.
8) Pull off the tape. Rack is now mounted.
9) Continue adjusting pistol hook positions with unloaded pistols to miss interior shelves & stanchions.
10) Bend Pistol Hooks tighter or looser to fit each gun, bend left or right to fit binoculars, jewelry pouches, etc.
NOTE: Due to your safe’s interior layout, rack may not hold all the firearms it is capable or storing. Take out shelves or re-arrange interior to maximize firearm storage.

The Rack 'Em 6047 kit is a vinyl-coated wire grid that comes in two pieces. The upper piece easily attaches to the top of the door with two self-tapping screws. It is 24" wide and 24" tall. A lower grid hangs on this upper grid.

This brings the total grid dimensions for the Model 6047 to 24" wide by 48" tall.

The grid wire is a very substantial 1/4" diameter.

In addition to the two top-mounting screws, I recommend attaching the grid to the door surface with 1/4" tubing clips (that you might use to hold icemaker tubing to the wall) so the grid does not flop around. Once the grid is securely mounted to the door, everything is much more stable.

My safe came with a door organizer on it with a bunch of nylon pouches and zipper pockets that weren't much use and didn't hold any rifles at all. I mounted the grid right over the existing pouches and they squished down. (Not the prettiest, but I didn't have to rip the fabric off the door.)

The kit comes with 18 large pistol hooks (3-1/2" wide), 6 small hooks (2-1/2" wide), 3 steel rifle brackets that each hold up to 3 ABS plastic butt cups (total of 9 butt cups), and 9 rifle muzzle loops to hold the barrels of the rifles as they sit in the plastic cups. Bolts to attach the cups to the brackets are supplied.

The rifle butt cups I received are only about 1/2" deep -- not deep enough in my estimation. I may glue some side extensions on them to deepen them. The cups in the picture appear deeper. 1" depth or more would be better.

While accepting most rifle buts, the cups are not wide enough for all stock buttpads. My double barrel coach guns at the buttpad are wider than the cups and don't fit at all. While theoretically capable of holding nine long guns, I ended up mounting two rifles and two shotguns pointing up but sideways on the door. While reducing the number of long guns, this allows more usable space inside the safe for other stuff.

After hanging each hook on the grid the hook needs to be secured to the grid using small nylon tie-straps. If not secured the hooks can hinge up or slide left/right on the grid. I ran out of supplied tie straps, though. Get some spares.

Overall I'm very pleased with the grid and its abilities.
